Playboy named actress and model Dani Mathers "Playmate of the Year" Thursday.
The announcement was made at a cocktail luncheon at the Playboy Mansion. Mathers, 28, will be featured on the cover of Playboy's June issue along with a 10-page photo shoot inside the magazine.
Along with her title, Mathers received $100,000 and a one-year lease to a mini Cooper convertible.

"I've wanted this for so long," Mathers said in a statement. "Like with any accomplishment, you work hard and hope it will pay off. But I can't believe it did."
Mathers appeared in films such as Neighbors and Furious 7 and had a recurring role on The Bold and the Beautiful. She's Playboy's 56th Playmate of the Year.

Dani first appeared in Playboy as the magazine's May 2014 Playmate of the Month.
She is featured on the cover of Playboy's June 2015 issue and inside the magazine in a 10-page pictorial shot by renowned fashion photographer Michael Bernard. Playboy's June issue will be on newsstands and iPlayboy.com beginning Friday, 22 May.
"I've wanted this for so long," she said. "Like with any accomplishment, you work hard and hope it will pay off, but I can't believe I did it. I'm committed to being a great PMOY, and I'm going to work my hardest to show everyone how appreciative I am for this opportunity."
Mathers, who has been earlier named Cybergirl of the Month back in 2013, said that she was from a big Jewish-Italian family and she was brought up playing in the mud, cheerleading, and playing volleyball, and she can't seem to keep her mouth shut.
Kennedy Summers was last year's reigning Playmate of the Year and took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message about her whirlwind year.
