sex crime .................

Two recent reports of sexual offenses that occurred at Le Moyne College, including one reported hours after Dolphy Day, were unfounded and no criminal sex charges were filed.
The allegations, originally reported in the college's student newspaper, The Dolphin, date back to April 22 and April 17. Dolphy Day occurred on April 16.
The same male student was involved in both incidents, Onondaga County Sheriff's Detective Jon Seeber said.
In the early morning of April 17, Garret McCarty, 19, of South Charleston, West Virginia, began a consensual sexual encounter with a female student. He had a previous relationship with the other student, Seeber said.
During the encounter, she wanted to stop, which McCarty did, Seeber said. McCarty then left the room. No charges were filed, because the allegations didn't support any criminal offense and due to a lack of cooperation by those involved, Seeber said.
On April 22, McCarty was involved with an incident involving a different female student with whom he also had a previous relationship. McCarty entered her dorm room and refused to leave. No sexual contact took place, Seeber said.
For that, he was charged with second-degree criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned in Salina Town Court and given pre-trial release.
He has since been removed from campus, Seeber said.
That same day, the college sent an email to students, alerting them to the sexual misconduct accusations and urging students to lock their doors while out of the room or sleeping.
