NO SECRET OF SINGLE OR MARRIED NOW, FINDING

Hinge dating app users have been warned that a new update for the iPhone and Android dating app will expose their relationship statues for all to see. Like many mobile dating apps, Hinge requires users to verify their identity through Facebook. Soon, your Facebook relationship status will be added to your Hinge dating profile.
If Facebook relationship status is “married”, “engaged” or “in a relationship”, it will be

displayed on your dating profile. So, now might be a good time to change that jokey married to your best friend status on Facebook. Married users are still free to use the dating app but they might have some explaining to do.
A recent study by Global web index found that 42 percent of Tinder users were in a relationship or married. That seems like an incredibly high percentage of unavailable users on a dating app but it could just be that many people use Tinder for non-dating. In any case, the study prompted Hinge to see if there was a similar trend on its dating service.
Hinge found that only 1.6 percent of its users are married or engage and an additional 2 percent are in a relationship. Despite this low number, Hinge plans to expose these potential cheaters with version 3.5 of its iPhone and Android dating app. “We want to ensure Hinge remains a trusted place for finding relationships,” Hinge said in a blog post announcing the update. There’s no word on when the update will roll out but married users have been warned.
